Spring 2 - Vikings
During Spring 2, Crickets focused their learning around the Vikings. They got to take part in a Vikings day where they got to try on different Viking clothing, helmets and weapons. Crickets took part in drama activities and acted out parts of Viking daily life. This experience helped the children to understand how different life then was to their lives now. Crickets enjoyed getting to watch how Vikings used to start fires and cook their food over the open flame. They got to explore what the fire would be started with all the way to the final flames and smoke. It was a great opportunity to see their history learning in action and be able to really understand how different life as a Viking was.
