Have you ever wondered what would happen if you found a penguin on your doorstep? Well, just ask Caterpillar Class! This half term the children learned all about what it takes to be a good friend and the importance of looking after each other and understanding the feelings of others. This all came from the wonderful story of "Lost and Found", when a boy found a penguin on his doorstep and set out to try to help him. Along the way, the children also asked lots of questions about where penguins live, how they live and what they eat. We even found time to write a letter to the zookeeper at Marwell Zoo, with a few more questions about penguins - we'll share the response from them in due course...
This linked to finding out about Antarctica and how animals cope with different habitats - some of our Afternoon Tea work included amazing fact files, posters, models and even a dice! What all the work had in common was a fantastic selection of facts...
