Autumn 2 - Authors
In Autumn 2, we have enjoyed learning all about Authors and Illustrators. We launched our topic by bringing in our favourite books from home. Afterwards, we focused on three main female authors: Julia Donaldson, Judith Kerr and Beatrix Potter. Rabbits have had fun re-creating their favourite book covers using green screen, summarising what they have learnt using a program called Adobe Spark and using their drawing and sketching skills.

We were lucky enough to have a visit from Simon Murray, an author and illustrator who has written a series of books about a character called Icky Doo Dah. The children loved listening to the story and then completed a special drawing workshop delivered by Simon himself. Rabbits were taught how to re-create his Icky Doo Dah character using detail, texture and contrast.
