Climate and Culture

This term, our leading topic has been Geography. We have been learning about continents, in specific Europe and the countries within Europe. Rabbits class used their map skills to locate the different continents on the map and then the countries within Europe and label them. We have explored the different capital cities and landmarks around Europe. In line with International Languages day we created our own Language dictionaries (see some below) where we explored the different ways European countries say hello.

Rabbits got to learn even more during their English as we explore non-fiction texts and created some of our own about our table countries - Italy, France, Sweden, Germany, Poland and Greece. They got to combine facts they already knew and research they found to produce a non-chronological report about their chosen country, it's food, flag, capital city and much more.

Finally, we looked at the French artist Henri Mattisse. We looked at his 'painting with scissors' work and created our own collages just like him (see below).
