Autumn 1 - Rivers
Rivers
In our first week, we began our project on rivers and worked as a team to create tiny rivers on the playground. Our teamwork was fantastic even though it was quite hard to recreate our favourite part of a river: a waterfall.
Later on in the term, we had the opportunity to visit a river: The River Meon. We began by walking along the river to see how it meandered through the village. We used our measuring skills to compare how the height of the river varied and the impact erosion was having to the riverbed and the surrounding environment. Finally, we applied our sketching skills and draw our observations of the river.
