This half term, we have been learning about World War I and World War II. Through this topic we developed our understanding about the reasons for conflict and how we can learn from past conflicts, to make sure that we live in a more peaceful society.
To develop our learning, we investigated how soldiers and civilians are affected by war and about how these conflicts have impacted on our lives today.
We showed our learning through a range of ways: timelines, art and writing.
To support our learning, we went on a trip to Fort Nelson. We took part in a number of workshops: protecting the Home Front, how to be a soldier and the impact of war on the civilians.
