Autumn 2- Butser Ancient Farm visit

The Stone Age

Our history work this half term involved learning about the Stone Age to the Iron age. We learnt lots of information by reading books, using Ipads and acting.

We were then able to imagine what it was like to live in those times and answer questions such as...

You are feeling creative. What might you do?

Your family are hungry. What are your options?

The climate is getting colder. What does this mean for you?

You've grown and need some new clothes. What will you do?

After our research, we were able to create our own dens using our woodland area.

As part of our topic, we also visited Butser Ancient Farm, where we ate our lunch around a camp fire, learnt to make wattle fences and Iron Age jewellery and became archaeologists, digging for historical objects.

In English, we wrote recounts based on our visit! Please read our class recount and enjoy our trip photographs below.
