Red Nose Day 2024
Do Something Funny for Money
On Friday 15th March, we will be taking part in Comic Relief 2024. As part of this we would like to invite the children to come into school in non-school uniform. As the theme is ‘Do Something Funny for Money’ your child may wish to wear their favourite fancy dress costume, go red from head to toe or even have crazy hair. Children are invited to wear something that makes them and others smile (or laugh).
For the children wishing to take part, we are asking for a donation of £1 which will go towards the Comic Relief appeal. For those not wishing to take part, normal school uniform is to be worn. All money raised will be sent to the National appeal.
During the day itself, the children will learn about the people who benefit from the donations and the work that Comic Relief has undertaken since it started.
Thank you for your continued support.
Yours sincerely,
Ms Green
Deputy Headteacher
To celebrate ‘World Book Day’ on Thursday 2nd March, each class will participate in a range of activities linked to a chosen text. As part of our school celebrations, we would like to invite the children to come to school dressed as a recognisable book character of their choice.
Your child will bring home a £1 ‘World Book Day’ book token, which will allow them to choose a free book, from participating booksellers, including Asda, WHSmith and Sainsbury’s.
We are very much looking forward to a fun-filled ‘World Book Day 2023’ and hope the children will enjoy the exciting activities planned.
Don’t forget to get your ‘extreme reading’ pictures into school by Friday 17th March. Photos will all be displayed and judged and the top three will receive prizes!
If you can’t print your photo, please email it to admin@millhillandwoodcroft.co.uk.
