Summer 1 - Space

Summer 1 - Space

We have been busy this term learning all about space. Crickets have been exploring the different planets, solar systems and moons in their Science learning. They have enjoyed comparing the number of moons per planet and the different criteria that makes a planet a planet. During the term, Crickets got to visit Intech Science Museum. They were excited to create their own rockets and then have a try at launching them. While at the museum, they got the chance to explore - trying on astronaut suits, look at models of the moon and the big small room! When back in school, Crickets then got to apply their new experiences to their science learning and set up and complete an experiment testing whether the size of the object would affect the depth of the craters on the moon. Crickets really enjoyed this!
