Autumn 1 - Rivers and Wind in the Willows

Ducks Class have been enjoying getting deeper into the characters of “The Wind in the Willows,” exploring them through reading the book, looking at film clips and using role play and drama.  We particularly enjoyed considering how Toad would have felt when brought before the Judge, before flipping our thoughts to other characters that were in the courtroom at the same time.  Being able to write from a specific point of view is a key skill for Year 5, so we’ve been working hard at it.  We’ve also made the most of the good weather and have loved getting outside for our P.E. lessons!

Through all of our activities, we are ensuring that we show the Learning Values of Mill Hill and we are all aspiring to achieve as highly as we can this year.  We can’t wait to see what goals we can reach by next July!
