Autumn 1 - Volcanoes
During this half term, we developed our understanding about natural disasters. Through this, we focused on volcanoes: how they are formed and the devastating effects that they can have on the environment.
We spent time using world maps to investigate the different countries where we can still find active volcanoes. To then get a better understanding of the structure, we planned and created our own volcanoes by using plastic bottles and papier mache. When we formed the main body, we painted using: green, orange, brown and red.
