Sound Mats:

This year the bats have been working really hard on the their rhyming skills.  Listening carefully to the end sounds of words and finding those which are the same, or sound the same.

                    dog                                                frog

Read the words in the list, then with the help from your grown up or older brother/ sister hunt round your home for 1 object which rhymes with each item in the list.  Draw your items and write the words that rhyme.

Don't forget to take a picture of your work and send it in so that I can share it on our page.

More and fewer are words that the bats have been using to describe groups and sets of objects.

This is a fun game to get you warmed up.

How many do you score?

can you beat your score?

Challenge: can you find the numbers which are 2 more and 2 less than the number on the dice?

What if I wanted to write the matching number sentence. I wonder what that might look like.

Understanding the World

In class we had started to look out for signs of spring and the insects that live in our outside areas.

If you do not have any dough at home this is the recipe it use in class. It is really easy.
