Support for SEND
This is a trying and difficult time for us all, but it is especially difficult for children who have SEND and/or additional needs, as they struggle to make sense of the current situation. They may struggle to cope with the changes in routines and expectations, struggle to adjust to the concept of learning at home (when in their experience, learning happens in school only), struggle to verbalise their worries and therefore show they are unsettled through behaviour choices. All of this is perfectly normal! There are some links to websites which will be able to give some suggestions as to how to cope during this difficult time, specifically aimed at children and families of children with needs. There are also some links to sites which will help with keeping mentally healthy and promoting good mental well-being. Please check them out if you need any support or ideas.
