Welcome to Mill Hill Primary School and to our website – we really hope you enjoy looking around and finding out more about us. Of course a website cannot fully capture the positive supportive ethos of our school and so we would love the opportunity to show you around. Please feel free to call the office or email us via our contact page. If you are already a member of our growing community then I hope you find the many pages on the website useful; please feel free to let us know what you think of it.
Mill Hill Primary School was federated with Woodcroft Primary School in December 2011 and the two schools work closely together. We have three shared values which are respect, aspiration and achievement and these underpin the work of the federation and of both schools individually. We believe that children learn best when they are happy, well cared for and secure in themselves. Relationships within school are, therefore, based upon mutual respect, both between adults and children and between the children themselves.
Honesty and kindness is promoted together with hard work, determination and perseverance. We try to keep the focus on the positive aspects of the children's lives, and all adults working in the school are expected to show the children respect and to model positive attitudes.
We expect everyone to take responsibility for his or her actions, learning and behaviour, and in a culture of achievement provide the children with a wide range of challenging learning opportunities. We have high expectations of everybody.
We value the partnership between school and home. In order to support parents and children, a variety of opportunities are planned to gather and share information about the children and to provide support for parents.
We believe that children are most successful when home and school work together. We look forward to welcoming you to our school. Mr Peter Leonard, the Head of School at Mill Hill, or I will always be happy to meet with you.
