Welcome to the Parent, Teachers Association (PTA) also known as the ‘Friends of Mill Hill’ section!
The primary purpose of the PTA is to assist the school to advance the education of the pupils at Mill Hill Primary by:
*           Fundraising for the school
*           Helping at events
*           Acting as a link between teachers and parents
*           Arrange social activities for the children and their families
*           Purchase additional items and equipment for use by the children which is not provided
by statutory funds.
Every year the PTA organises events for all the family to enjoy. The main fundraising events are usually the Summer and Christmas Fayres. We have now included a Christmas Disco, Shopping Evening, and a Halloween Event which we hope will all be successful and we can continue to have them every year. The PTA currently has some fantastic new fundraising ideas up their sleeve, so watch this space!
From events in 2013 we were able to raise enough funds to purchase some outdoor picnic tables, purchase four table tennis tables, a karaoke machine, and a notice board for the playground.

With the funds we now have we are hoping to purchase a couple of wooden balance bikes, a box for each class to have their own outdoor equipment to play with at lunchtime, and to FINALLY renew the old curtains in the main school hall.

There is often a lot of work involved in organising events and the more parents we can get to help the better. If you would like to be involved, and can help in any way you can, either by attending the meetings with your fundraising ideas or by getting more involved with the event organizing, any help is greatly appreciated.
The Friends of Mill Hill have set up a Facebook group where we are able to share ideas and information in between meetings. If you don't want the commitment of attending meetings, but would like to share your ideas or keep on top of what is going on, then why not request to join, just type in 'friends of mill hill' and we will show as a closed group, just request to join and we can confirm you.

The day was a huge success and everyone enjoyed themselves.
It goes without saying that these events would not be possible without the hard work, commitment and generosity of many people. First of all i would like to thank the teachers, LSA’s and staff who gave up their valuable time to assist and ensure the event was safe and enjoyable. Secondly we would like to extend our gratitude to all who came to the Fayre and spent their hard earned money.
Another big thank you to all the PTA members and friends and family who helped to prepare for the event, help during the event and who helped with the clearing up afterwards.

We’d also like to give a BIG thank you to A Different Beat for joining us on Saturday and providing some fantastic live music at our School Christmas Fair. It was the icing on the cake to a wonderful day with so many compliments about you guys being passed around. Everyone loved the fact you had music to suite whatever taste and age. Would love to have you join us at future events, and will definitely be recommending you to everyone we know. THANKS!!

We raised a massive profit of just under £950.00, which is AMAZING!!!!

Many thanks again, Jenna (Chair of Mill Hill PTA)

BIG MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone who made this evening such a success! Thank you to all our stallholders, who have been very patient putting up with my barrage of emails, for providing some fantastic gifts for sale (wish I had more time to shop for my self lol!) and for coming along. Thank you to all the members of the PTA who came along and especially to Tracie for her fantastic help on the evening, and also to my sister Jenna Ford for putting up with me during these last couple of months of organising! BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came and spent all their hard earned cash! Without you guys these events wouldn't be possible, and it goes without saying that we are extremely grateful to you all.
We raised a grand total of £345.25, for the children at Mill Hill Primary School which is just amazing.
Thank you again, Natasha O'Connor (Secretary of Mill Hill PTA)
